Our Mission
đ A Season of Sharing That Strengthens Families
For many families supported by Child and Family Services of Grand Erie, involvement isnât about abuse or neglect. Itâs about poverty. Itâs about parents doing their best to provide for their children while facing impossible choices between groceries, rent, heat, and holiday gifts.
Thatâs why financial donations to our Season of Sharing program make such a powerful difference.
When you give financially, youâre not just helping us check off wish lists. Youâre helping us strengthen families. Your contribution allows us to:
- Provide gift cards directly to caregivers so they can choose meaningful gifts for their children with dignity and pride, because no one knows their kids better than they do.
- Reduce the strain on limited staff and storage space, so our workers can focus on what they do best: supporting families.
- Reach more families and independently living youth across Grand Erie, ensuring every child, youth and caregiver can celebrate the holidays in a way that feels personal, inclusive, and joyful.

What We Need
- Donations to our online portal, which fund buying gifts and gift cards for unmet needs.
- Gift Cards in $25 denominations so that Caregivers can purchase gifts for their own children and partake in the joy of the season themselves.
- New, unwrapped toys and gifts that will spark imagination, nurture connection and create lasting memories.
- Practical gifts for youth transitioning to independent living.

Distribution
All items received will be equitably distributed among children and youth in our service in the City of Brantford, Counties of Brant, Haldimand and Norfolk, and Mississauguas of the Credit First Nation.
Deadline
Please ensure all donations are received by the Foundation before December 1. This allows our Social Workers ample time to deliver the items to families on their caseloads and provides comfort and excitement to caregivers as they navigate this challenging time of year.
